Kaanit Valiani
Hi, I’m Kaanit Valiani. I’m a senior in high school and live in Memphis, Tennessee. I’ve been fortunate to receive a strong education, but I realized that many children around the world do not have the same opportunities.
During my visits to Pakistan, I saw firsthand how poverty and child labor can prevent children from receiving a quality education. Meeting children who were eager to learn but lacked access to proper educational resources inspired me to take action.
To address this issue, I founded PACE (Program Assisting Children’s Education), an initiative dedicated to providing educational opportunities for underserved children in Karachi, Pakistan. What began with teaching a small group of students has grown into a mission to create lasting change through education.
I believe education is one of the most powerful tools for breaking the cycle of poverty. My goal through PACE is not only to help students learn, but also to give them the confidence, resources, and opportunities they need to build a better future. I hope to continue expanding PACE and reaching even more children who deserve the chance to learn and succeed.

Hi, I’m Mashaal Valiani, a junior in high school from Memphis, Tennessee. I’ve been fortunate to receive a strong education, but during my visits to Pakistan, I saw firsthand that many children do not have the same opportunities.
What was especially life-changing was meeting girls who were just like me—girls with dreams and potential, but without access to education. Seeing this made me realize how much I had taken my own opportunities for granted and inspired me to take action through PACE (Program Assisting Children’s Education).
Through PACE, I hope to provide underserved children in Karachi with the education, resources, and confidence they need to build a better future.
